Gastric Bypass  |  2000 What was life like before your surgery?  I was never able to hold a real job because of my weight. At 440 pounds I was a heart attack risk. I was told I would be in a pine box within 5 years if I did not do something. I really didn’t have a life, nor did I do anything. I had no relationships and I was bitter towards my family because of my condition. I hated myself.

Making the Decision

After doing some research I went in for a consultation at Barix Clinics. I considered having the procedure through other organizations, but Barix answered all my pre-surgery questions and provided me with so much support. Everyone I encountered at Barix wanted to help.

How My Life Changed
Now that I am 244 pounds, I plan on living a heck of a lot longer. I’ve found my soul mate and am going to be engaged soon! As for my family, I see them as much as possible and they are very proud of me! I’m also looking forward to a new career with the Teamsters making the big money. I love myself and I love life. Now, I have my whole life ahead of me. My life is just beginning. My new life, that is.
